The Bell Camera is mounted ten meters high and the horizon to horizon approach offers highly accurate turn counts, unmatched situational awareness, views and functionality from the center of the intersection, and unobstructed incident management views.   

The camera’s virtual pan-tilt-zoom works with a simple mouse click, enabling users to set up to four different views and adjust those anytime they wish. The aesthetically pleasing, environmentally conducive bell shape of the camera isn’t just for looks. The rugged 1⁄4-inch-thick aluminum housing protects the optics from the harshest environments and prevents weather related blind spots and sun glare. It is easy to install and maintain, thereby reducing the number and length of lane closures associated with intersection management, while also improving worker safety, and reducing costs.

The Bell Camera is powered from a single-wire, power over ethernet (POE) connection by the GS2 Processor. GS2, the intelligence of the GRIDSMART System, runs the GRIDSMART Engine, a suite of vision-tracking algorithms that builds a 3-dimensional model of cars, trucks, pedestrians, and other objects approaching the intersection. The object trajectories are tracked through user-defined zones at the intersection, following them until vehicles exit, delivering unmatched accuracy. GS2 can support two Bell Cameras or one Bell and four traditional cameras.

The Client empowers you to set up detection and counting zones, view intersections and highways, and even generate performance reports. GRIDSMART’s data modules upload valuable performance data daily to the GRIDSMART Cloud. The open API retrieves data and images from GRIDSMART Processors or automates the retrieval of count or real-time data.
